Forward by Faith (Snacks Edition!)

Come hungry! Come tired! Just come because the youth and children have you covered! As part of our Vision Campaign, the youth and children’s ministries are selling donuts, coffee and juice on Sunday mornings to help raise money.  This is not your run of the mill church coffee either.  We’ll have top quality coffee, donuts and juice to help start your morning at church off right.  All of the money raised goes towards helping the future generations.  Prices are as follows: hot coffee ($2.00), cold brew ($4.00), juice ($1.00), donuts ($1.00), wrist band ($3.00), VIP card ($40.00 – one drink and donut per week + wristband). We will be selling through November 12th.

Vision Campaign T-shirts

During our Vision Campaign, t-shirts will be available for purchase. 100% of the $10.00 purchase price will be donated to the Campaign.  The t-shirts come in multiple sizes and are available for men, women, and children.  You can buy your shirt online by clicking the Buy button below.  A laptop in the lobby at The Connecting Place will also be available for you to make this purchase.

Mexico Gifts – October 22 to November 5

Each year we collect Christmas gifts for children that are delivered to Gethsemane Baptist Church in Nogales, Mexico. Due to the Capital Campaign we are putting the tags out early. They will be displayed on the Serve at FBC display in the lobby and instructions will be given. The tags will be out from Oct. 22nd through Nov. 5th, the date that the gifts are due. The outreach to Nogales is December 8-9. We will have a meeting between services in the youth room on Nov. 26th. If you plan to go on this trip, you will need a full passport which takes about 6 weeks.

Citizens Sedona Trip – October 28

Hello Citizens! On October 28, there is a day trip to Sedona planned. The cost is $20. We will depart at 8:00am, go up and take a medium difficulty hike, have lunch (pizza) up there, tool around the town and return home at around 4:00pm.  Let Allen know if you are interested in going (Allenb@fbcaz.org).

POWWOW – November 11

Produce On Wheels – With Out Waste (P.O.W.W.O.W.) disperses fresh  produce to communities at churches, schools and other entities  throughout Southern Arizona and the metropolitan Tucson and Phoenix service areas. 10 million lbs. of fresh nutritional rescued produce  annually are delivered to agency sites for distribution to supporters. Anyone can contribute $10 to shop for up to 60 lbs. of fresh produce, to share with neighbors, friends, family or someone who’s in need. One Saturday a month, FBC hosts this distribution right in our parking lot, providing our community with this  wonderful service.  Our first POWWOW is November 11th, 8:00am to 11:00am.  To volunteer, a SignUp Genius will be sent out the week of October 22nd.

Exploring Membership – November 19

Exploring Membership is the doorway to membership at Faith Bible Church.

Utilizing the P.L.A.C.E. Experience, you will be immersed in a five week study that explores our church – it’s leadership, history, and doctrine and ties those together with an in-depth examination of your potential place in membership. This is accomplished through weekly activities which examine your personality type, spiritual gifts, abilities, and experiences and how they make you unique and a valuable resource to God’s Kingdom.

There is no cost for this course It includes the P.L.A.C.E. workbook, and a lunch for your entire family at the end of the class. The Fall 2017 session begins on November 19th and will take place on Sunday mornings at 10:30 in the Youth Room (101) and will be taught by Perry Mumme and Russell Schwarz.
