Local & Short Term Missions
The Bridge to Hope
FBC now has a church-based mentoring team to sponsor a B2H family. If you are not familiar with the organization, here is a video about The Bridge to Hope.
We have two needs to help us get started in sponsoring a family. One is to help furnish an apartment. Here is a list of what is needed and where to bring the items. The second need is for monthly support to help cover living expenses of the family. We are looking for 30 people to commit to $25/month. However, gifts in any amount are appreciated. Information on how to donate is on the B2H website. Please reference Faith Bible Church when donating. We also have information at the Local Outreach table in the café after weekend services. For additional information contact us.
Years ago Faith Bible Church made a commitment to stay in their neighborhood. We promised the City of Glendale our support in any way they wanted to use us. The mustard seed of that promise to build community has blossomed into a group of faithful, active, forward-looking folks who are leading the way toward revitalizing Granada Estates. They include Neighborhood Transformation (Current Newsletter), the City of Glendale, Local Police, the local schools and Faith Bible Church.
There are about 3,000 residents and 200 students serviced by Foothills Elementary, Pioneer Elementary, and Cactus High School. Many of the residents are older, raising grandchildren, on disability or on fixed incomes. Most of the 700 homes in the area are mobile or modular homes and 60% are rentals.
We currently work with the city to help residents with code compliance issues, basic home repairs, painting, and lot clean up. Faith Bible Church has also assisted through food drives, community events, tutoring and support to the Cactus High School Bridge program for at risk youth. There are many ways you can be involved. Contact Allen Bartimioli to get involved.

Short Term Mission Trips
In addition to our annual Christmas outreach with Gethsemane Baptist Church in Nogales, Mexico (Dec. 6-7, 2013), trips are planned each year with youth and adults to assist our missionaries in the field with evangelism, church planting and relief ministries. Past locations have included New York, Uganda, India, Indonesia and the Hopi Reservation. High school and college age youth are encouraged and supported for summer mission trips. A group of 27 adults and collegians assisted Peter and Moala Kashung in Siliguri India in June.
If you would like more information, or are interested in participating, want updates, emails and prayer requests sent in by our Short Term Missionaries in the field, please contact the mission’s team, or the church office at (602) 368-7100. Short Term Missions Trip Application.
