At Faith Bible Church, Sunday services are the primary way we gather together and Community groups are the primary way we scatter throughout the city as the body of Christ. Community Groups are DNA-focused communities that meet weekly in homes. It is where we live as “families on mission” together: eating, serving, praying, and doing life together. We are “missionaries” who join Jesus’ kingdom work in our neighborhoods, work places, and city.
Exploring Community is the launchpad for all of our Community Groups! Each session takes place quarterly (see calendars below for all dates/sessions planned). There are three phases of Exploring Community:
- Launch – Utilizing the ROOTED Experience, you will be immersed in a ten week experience-based study to help your group live out the DNA of Faith Bible Church as a “Family on Mission.”
- Train – After the entire group goes through the ROOTED Experience, the leaders go through Community Group Leader Training to help them with structuring their Community Group. We utilize the community paradigms (such as “Rhythms and Roles”) found in Brad Houses book Community.
- Care – We have a monthly “check in” process for each group by one of our Captains. Captains are overseers of the groups and shepherd them through further training, resources, conflict resolution, and creating good communication between the groups and the broader community at FBC.
